Meet Thao Nguyen, Head of Corporate Services.

Thao studied at the University of Economics in Ho Chi Minh City, majoring in Commercial Law, and commenced working at Acclime in 2016 as Head of Corporate Services. Thao is in charge of advising international investors with market entry strategies for Vietnam and corporate structuring, enabling them to register their entities efficiently and in line with the local legal framework and international best practices.

Thao supports a wide range of clients across a diverse spectrum of industries and activities, such as trading, technology, finance, education, e-commerce, and manufacturing. In her experience, the key issues investors face when entering Vietnam are generally related to understanding and complying with the initial licensing provisions, and meeting subsequent regulatory requirements which have a high degree of complexity compared with other jurisdictions.

In addition to these, investors which introduce new business models and undertake innovative activities in Vietnam have the challenge of seeking to match their operational business lines with the Vietnamese legal and commercial frameworks. Navigating these statutory, legal, and commercial challenges is one of Thao’s primary capabilities, and with over 15 years of practical experience in corporate structuring she is able to deliver effective solutions tailored for each individual business situation.

In her free time, Thao enjoys spending time in the nature to unwind and relax, find her inner peace and experience quality time with her family.
