Meet Phung Nguyen, Accounting Director at Acclime in Ho Chi Minh City.

Phung studied at the University of Economics in Ho Chi Minh City, majoring in Accounting and Auditing and subsequently achieved a Bachelor of Law as well. Phung commenced working at Acclime in 2019 as Accounting Director, where she assists clients with high-level advice and consulting in regard to taxation, compliance and business statutory requirements for international investors operating in Vietnam.

In her leadership role, Phung supports her colleagues to acquire new skills by sharing her practical experience, coaching, and mentoring them with consistency and dedication. By active listening and working close to her team on individual projects, Phung can discover potential issues from the outset and enable her colleagues to develop creative solutions, constantly increasing the team’s performance and the value of their deliverables.

In her free time, Phung enjoys reading books which help her develop a better understanding of the human mind and how to develop effective communication skills. One of her favorite books, ‘Never split the difference’ by Chris Voss taught her the value of negotiation skills in personal and professional relationships, and how to apply effective communication principles in her interactions in the workplace.
